Hi! I have been interested in my family history since I was a teenager and my uncle let me see my great-grandfather’s scrapbook. Up until that time, I had been told that we were once French nobility that had escaped to Sweden during the French revolution. I had in my hand, my great-great grandparents marriage certificate which stated they were both from Denmark. And so, the search was on. I believe that every family has its ‘doctor, lawyer, ...thief.’ And we have our share. I really believe that genealogy is more than names, dates and places. It is about the people who have gone before us; their hardships and sorrows, their triumphs and joys. That is what has helped to mold us and it is what I hope to share on these pages. My name is Zoe de Crevecoeur Erickson. I have collected information on both my side and my husband's side of the family. Hence, 'Alec's Ancestors.'
